It's great. I saw it today with artistgirl and securityguy, before they departed to the north again.

They have, among other gorgeous mad things, 2 gowns by Madeleine Vionnet. For an article "A Dressmaker Extraordinaire" about Vionnet click here. There were several other fabulous articles of clothing, 2 fabulous cars, and lots of Cartier jewellery if such floats your boat. Also other bits 'n pieces including pottery, travel posters, and most of the entrance way to a building.

The exhibition is on until October, and I will be going again. I spent an hour in there, and it wasn't nearly enough. (These days 1 hour does most exhibitions because my legs don't enjoy the standing about.)

Followed up with an early dinner at Bistro Vite. I always feel in a holiday mood when I go there, and the company added to that feeling. The lavender pannacotta is off at the moment, replaced by a plum tart. Don't bother with that one, it's nice but boring compared to the other desserts. The creme brulée is as good as ever.

So that's 2 good French meals in a week. I think I may be a heavier Moocow than I was last week.

Hydrotherapy tomorrow, and Neurologist on Wednesday.

Just now Hubby & I are watching the latest episode of Top Gear.

Phew! Spent most of the day with only very mild headache - not even a migraine. Yayy! Tonight at dinner, Hubby told me I look better than I have for the past few weeks. Not in pain, not exhausted and not drawn. Gosh. That made me feel better. Sort of.

Car still not fixed. If not ready tomorrow, I will have to fly home in order to meet my commitments later in the week. O well.

Today did the NGA. Thank heavens for the special exhibition. In general the modern art of the NGA left me rather cool. (In fact I had the totally pleb. view that modern Australian artists all suffer from diseased imaginations.) There were some good bits. I particulalry liked the Asian statues from Afghanistan/Pakistan in the third century. Because that area was on the major trade route from Asia to the Middle East, the art has a strongly Mediterannean influence. So you get Bodistavas who look a lot like Greek Gods. Compellingly weird and rather beautiful. There was also a white horse sculpture, a glass sculpture and a half dozen paintings that I rather liked. The decorative objects from the 20s were rather nice too.

So a very pleasant, quiet day. Now I'm off to watch Top Gear.
