Wow, I really, really love PubMed - even if they won't let me read articles just because I won't join. Just because I won't pay to join.
Today I researched cognitive defecits in multiple sclerosis. I was able to search for all articles, then download them to a file for my later viewing pleasure. (Onto my iPod, which I also love).
This works much better than just bookmarking the site, because you can sort by journal or by publication date. It's all there in a folder called "Multiple Sclerosis".
Also found a great site (at Deakin Uni): the Australian Quality of Life Bibliography. They also have some interesting articles on MS. You can find it at: http://www.aqol.deakin.edu.au/bibliograp hy/
In case you haven't worked it out, tomorrow is visit the Neurologist day.
Lots of prep done. I have reviewed the clinical guidelines for definitive diagnosis (maybe, maybe not, depends how hardline my Neuro is).
( Also researched the effectiveness of current treatments. )
Guess I'll actually wait and see what the Neurologist says. Wouldn't want him to feel I was second guessing him.
I've also researched ( neurocognitive testing )
Finally, I am about to sit down and type all my symptoms and possible symptoms together and put that file on my iPod so my Neurologist can pull it up on his PC even when I lose the piece of paper I will no doubt print out.
If anyone knows what an "evoked potential" is, please let me know.
Dinner tonight with
sjkasabi & dr wacky. Should keep me cheery.
