Today, for the first time, physio was all about exercises and no manipulation or massage. I am so proud.

Body pride of a middle-aged moocow

Yesterday I rejoined the gym at Hubby's insistence. I seem to have the choice of either the bikes, the leg press machine, or deep water running. At 8am, I have my medical consultation - never had one of those before...

This all came up when I booked a massage.

Once I explained my do's & don'ts, the masseuse was more than happy to work on my back & legs, then she did a quick lymphatic drainage. Most of the massage was done with the table back at 40' and me sit-lying on my left side. But it was done... Mmmmm.....

While massaging just above my knee, she complimented me on having developed a 'teardrop' (if I heard correctly). It's a muscle that keen cyclists and athletes get, you get it from the first 30' of a squat. She tells me not many 'normal' people have one! I certainly didn't have it the last time she massaged me.

Apparently my core will be 'fabulous' by the time I get out of the contraption. During footy season she works for one of the major clubs, so she's very up on all sports medecine.

On a less delightful note, I seem to be detoxing slightly. Mildly grumbly digestive system & mild headache. I thought it was not enough sleep, and it could be, but the masseuse recently had abdominal surgery and she said the same thing happened when she came off the pain meds.

Now that I can get at the skin on my arm a bit, I bought some foaming teatree cleanser & a facial brush from The Body Shop. The brush is incredibly soft, and I am looking foreward to exfoliating the next time I replace the contraption.
