It's been a busy week. That's why I haven't posted. I've just slogged through everyone's excitement about the election. It was my wedding anniversary, so although I voted conscientiously, I otherwise managed to ignore it.
( rant about overuse of busy and need )
I'm not quite so old & hoary as this post will imply. But combined with last week's serve about manners, the evidence is beginning to pile up!
Our business coach has given us homework - we have to reconnect with the joy in our business, and the ideals and ideas that made us want to run our own business in the first place. So we spent a pleasant couple of hours in the Botanical Gardens, with a whiteboard and several packets of sticky notes. We now have a mind-map on the subject of things that give us "Joy & Delight" and another one on "Achievement". We also realise that we have become fun-deficient. I gather that "vitamin F" might be a rather important one.
Next step - actually incorporate some of the activities productive of joy and delight into our schedule.
