Reporting from bed...

...it had to catch up with me sooner or later. Today i am having a bed day - much improved by the wireless internet.

pointless whining about bodily ills )

I didn't feel up to reading an actual book, but a bit of casual surfing of LJ friends, with the text size increased, is fine.

Our concert was a success, with wonderful food provided by our friend Ms Fabchef. All my clients want to steal her. If I was asked once, I was asked a dozen times: "who did the catering? can we get her too?"

A number of people waxed enthusiastic that the concert was actually GOOD. Now I realise that amateur entertainments are only for confirmed gamblers, but I thought that people would trust me enough to know I wouldn't put my staff on show unless they were actually GOOD. In fact they're WONDERFUL. Proper amateur entertainment - all the performers are actuallly professional, but they were doing the gig for love. Er... all the entertainers except me and hubby. We were there because we can't make them do it unless we do it ourselves.

Party rocked on until around 7pm, and we'd cleaned up as much as we were going to by 8pm. Hubby is at work now putting the main room back together for classes to resume at 9.30am. I'd rather he were home solicitously hovering and offering love and support to Moi, but I have to be sensible.

I had a lovely day yesterday with Dr Whacky. We ambled, we shopped, we coffeed, we both nearly dropped from sheer exhaustion.

It was all good except when I locked us out of the house and then realised that my keys were in the office at work, and that hubby was out of town. Oops. A kind friend saved me by coming and bringing the spare keys over. I now need to think of a more local place to store spare keys for if (when) this happens again. I found I had a quite disproportionate amount of angst about being locked out of my own house, even though Dr Whacky was full of good ideas as to how we'd manage, and manage very comfortably, even if we had to wait until hubby got home that night. Gosh I know how to make houseguests feel comfortable, eh? (Just as well we didn't have to wait until hubby got home at 9PM.)

That's enough verbal vomit for now. I couldn't see straight before, now i can't see crooked either
